Welcoming New Local Elected Officials
The November 2025 election ushered in a wave of 22 newly elected city councilmembers serving ARCH’s coalition. These local elected officials have a range of backgrounds that could help East King County build more affordable housing faster, including experience on planning commissions, in the real estate sector, and with social service nonprofits. Sixteen of these local elected officials met with ARCH staff to receive an orientation on the affordable housing landscape in East King County and the role ARCH plays in addressing the shortage of affordable housing.
