Affordable Rental Apartment Search Tool
ARCH maintains a comprehensive list of rent-restricted housing in East King County, including properties that are part of the ARCH Rental Program and other types of affordable housing. Use this search tool to find a unit that works for you.
Step 1: Calculate your affordability level
Your affordability level determines which apartments you are eligible for. Affordability levels are described as a percentage of the Area Median Income (AMI), which is the midpoint of all incomes in an area. The lower your income, the lower your AMI percentage. The higher your income, the higher your AMI percentage.
Step 2: Search for apartments
You can search for any apartment with an AMI at or above your household’s affordability level AMI percentage. But keep in mind, the rent increases with higher AMI levels (see rent limit information here). Filter your search based on AMI affordability level percentage, city, and number of bedrooms. You can create a printable version (PDF) of your list.
Step 3: Contact properties
Directly contact each property to learn if there are available apartments. These affordable units are located within private, market-rate apartment buildings; ARCH does not own or operate these affordable units.
