City of Kirkland adopts ambitious housing targets

On October 5, 2021 the Kirkland City Council adopted Resolution R-5493 establishing an ambitious housing target of 12,474 affordable units by 2044. The targets are based on the current citywide need for affordable housing, and follow the City’s adoption of a local Housing Strategy in 2018. Read more about the targets here.
