Celebrating ARCH’s Executive Director and her Commitment to Cross-Sector Leadership
ARCH’s Executive Director Lindsay Masters was honored with the Cross-Sector Leadership Award from the East King County Human Services Collaborative. This award recognizes the importance of collaboration across sectors in building stronger, more affordable communities. In her remarks, she reminded nonprofit leaders, government staff, advocates, and community partners that stable housing is foundational to addressing the many social and economic challenges people face.
For nearly 35 years, ARCH has brought local governments, private-sector partners, and community organizations together to expand affordable housing opportunities across East King County. Today, that collaborative work has helped create and preserve more than 10,000 affordable homes across the region. Since Lindsay joined the organization 8 years ago, she has overseen the creation of approximately 4,700 affordable housing units, changing the lives of thousands of families in East King County. This type of success has only been possible since Lindsay is fluent in speaking the language of many different sectors, equally able to talk about real estate financing as the unique needs of immigrant and refugee populations. Yet, as Ms. Masters emphasized, there is still much work ahead; and continued investment, partnership, and advocacy are essential to meeting the region’s growing needs.
Ms. Masters also recognized the Together Center for creating space not only for organizations to work alongside one another, but for meaningful relationships to grow. And in true collaborative spirit, she dedicated the recognition to the ARCH staff, whose commitment makes the organization’s work possible.
Congratulations to Lindsay on this well-deserved recognition! Her message is a powerful reminder that expanding access to affordable housing takes all of us working together.
