Together in Housing: Building Community Partnerships for Affordable Housing

On October 15, 2025, community-based organizations (CBOs) from across East King County joined ARCH for Together in Housing, an event designed to connect communities with ARCH's mission of expanding access to affordable housing in the region.

CBOs learned about ARCH’s affordable rental and homeownership programs, gaining knowledge to better support the clients and communities they serve. Equally important, participants shared insights into how ARCH can continue to break down barriers for those who have been historically excluded from housing opportunities.

ARCH staff also provided an overview of ways CBOs can engage in the affordable housing development process—from informal partnerships to potential co-ownership opportunities— with a goal of deepening community involvement in creating new affordable homes.

The event closed with a look at ARCH’s community engagement approach, grounded in the principles of accountability, equity, trust, and mutual benefit.

Thank you to all the CBOs who joined us in this important conversation. Together, we’re building stronger connections—and accelerating the creation of more affordable housing throughout East King County.
