First Convening of ARCH’s Council of Elected Officials

The first meeting of the ARCH Council of Elected Officials.

In late March 2026, the newly-formed ARCH Council of Elected Officials (nicknamed “ACE”) convened for the first time.

Members received in-depth education about the affordable housing “ecosystem” and discussed shared challenges and opportunities with building more affordable housing faster in East King County.

ACE members also cast their eyes to the 2027 Washington State Legislative Session and shared ideas for promoting affordable housing in order to move closer to state targets.

Kirkland Mayor Curtis presented a “Success Story” by sharing how Kirkland achieved deeply affordable housing in the Totem Lake Neighborhood.
