ARCH Celebrates Major Affordable Housing Milestones at 2026 Investments Celebration
ARCH: A Regional Coalition for Housing hosted its annual Investments Celebration on April 9, 2026, bringing together regional leaders, development partners, and community members to recognize major investments in building and preserving affordable housing throughout East King County.
The event celebrated 9 funding awards that will create 788 new affordable housing units in Bellevue, Bothell, Kirkland, Issaquah, and Redmond. The funded projects will include 337 family-sized units, which are in high demand, but low supply in the region. These new homes will offer pathways to East King County’s excellent schools, community resources, and job opportunities. See slides with award impacts and project descriptions.
ARCH members invested $5.2 million into its Housing Trust Fund in 2025, reflecting continued commitment from local jurisdictions. Throughout ARCH’s history, its members have pooled and invested a total of $125 million through the ARCH Housing Trust Fund to help build and preserve more than 7,000 units of affordable housing in 11 different jurisdictions.
Nearly 100 guests attended the Investments Celebration, including local elected leaders, housing developers, jurisdictional staff, community-based organizations, public funders, and other regional leaders. State Senator Manka Dhingra (45th Legislative District), State Representative Janice Zahn (41st Legislative District), and State Representative Osman Salahuddin (48th Legislative District) were all in attendance as well.
