The Village at Overlake Station

Owner: King County Housing Authority
Family Rental Housing, Day Care Facility, Park-and-Ride/Transit Center

Low-income Family Rentals

The Village at Overlake Station combines 308 units of low- and moderate-income rental housing, a day-care facility and a park-and-ride/ transit center into a single integrated use. Thirty of the housing units are barrier free and wheelchair accessible.

Workforce Housing

The development is in the heart of the Overlake commercial area of Redmond. Overlake is a major employment center with about 600 firms, including Microsoft's main campus. Grocery stores, restaurants, personal services and major retailers are within a short walking distance.

Transit Oriented Development

The Village at Overlake Station is one of the first pilot projects for King County's Transit oriented Develop- ment Section. Residents have the park-and-ride at their front door, a day-care center on site, free bus passes and parking spots for Flex Car, a local car-sharing program. Only six out of 10 households renting at Village at Overlake have a car.
