Low-income Family Rentals The
Village at Overlake Station combines 308 units of low- and moderate-income rental
housing, a day-care facility and a park-and-ride/ transit center into a
single integrated use. Thirty of the housing units are barrier
free and wheelchair accessible.
Workforce Housing The
development is in the heart of the Overlake commercial area of
Redmond. Overlake is a major employment center with about 600 firms,
including Microsoft's main campus. Grocery stores, restaurants,
personal services and major retailers are within a short walking distance.
Transit Oriented
Development The
Village at Overlake Station is one of the first pilot projects for King
County's Transit oriented Develop- ment Section. Residents have the
park-and-ride at their front door, a day-care center on site, free bus
passes and parking spots for Flex Car, a local car-sharing program.
Only six out of 10 households renting at Village at Overlake have a car.
